The Doodle Bar Launch Party!

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Following on from the success of Doodlearth, Squint/Opera and Serge Seidlitz have created a new arts cafe called The Doodle Bar and the launch party is on Friday 5th June 2009 from 6pm until midnight.

We believe in the Freedom of Doodle. We wanted to create a space that will act as a platform for people to get together, to inspire, share, develop and evolve their ideas, unleash their potential creativity and have fun! White-washed from top to bottom and with an illustrated map of London weaving across the walls, all those who come to the Doodle Bar are encouraged to doodle on the walls, tables, chairs and even the waiters.

Come along, EVERYBODY WELCOME.

Thrilling Wonder Stories at the AA

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Squintie Alice Scott, and Sam Britton from Squint Opera Music, will be giving a presentation at the Thrilling Wonder Stories: Speculative Futures for an Alternative Present event at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London on Friday 29th May 2009. Theirs will be part of a series of talks given by a varied and fantastic line up of authors, architects, artists and designers who will be discussing the speculative visions of the future that we devise, investigating how ’slipping suggestively between the real and the imagined, they offer a distanced view from which to survey the consequences of various social, environmental and technological scenarios’. This free event will run from 11am until 5pm and is open to all.
