Flooded London

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

Squint Opera depicts living in ‘Flooded London’ in 2090

A series of fantastical 3d images exploring life in a future flooded london are on display as part of the London Architecture Festival at the Medcalf Bar in Exmouth Market from 20th June until the 20th July. The images have already appeared in various publications including Dezeen magazine and Moleskins’ blog. Hear Jonathan Glancey, the Guardian’s architecture critic talk about the exhibition here.

The general scenario is set 80 or so years into the future, long after the sea levels have risen. The catastrophic side of the sea coming in has long since past and the five images are snapshots of people going about their lives, having adapted to the city’s new circumstance.

Limited edition prints are available for sale.
