Animation Production Assistant

Location: London

Doodle Productions is seeking an Animation Production Assistant to join our production team for Messy Goes to Okido Series 2.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Animation Production Manager / Animation Team to ensure clear communication and efficient flow of information across all departments

  • Support Animation Production Manager with arranging briefs and reviews and ensuring that meeting rooms are set up and ready to begin

  • Take notes during briefs and reviews and update tracking system accordingly

  • Support Animation Production Manager with creation and maintenance of tracking documents; setting up episodic shot list templates for 2D and 3D

  • Breakdown 2D episodic assets and graphic sequences

  • Help organise interviews for recruitment when needed

  • Tracking status of shots from ready to start for animation to ready to start for lighting

  • Check shots are published / pending review on time for Director Reviews

  • Tracking progress of all retakes / approving simple non-creative amends

  • Liaise with Animation Team and IT Dept regarding any minor issues to be addressed

  • Support Animation Team with any general queries

  • Prepare reference packages and information for new crew starters as required

Specific Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year industry experience on animated productions as runner / intern / production assistant or similar role

  • Excellent oral and written English language communication skills

  • Excellent administrative skills and fastidious nature when it comes to checking your own work

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office, googledocs and photoshop

  • Good knowledge of animation process and pipelines

  • Good understanding of schedules and importance of deadlines

  • Strong ability to multitask, work to tight deadlines and stay calm and diplomatic under pressure

  • Knowledge and experience with tracking software a distinct advantage, particularly ftrack

  • TV Series experience a distinct advantage

Senior 3D generalist (moving image 3D)

Location: London

We are looking for an enthusiastic 3D generalist to be part of our London team.


Works with the Creative Director, 3d Leads and Producers to make sure project production process is smooth and shots within budget. Manages the technical aspects of projects, will focus on one large or several small projects at one time so must be flexible and able to prioritise. Work with the Pipeline Developer and Head of 3D to implement change to process and workflow where required.

Studio Manager


We are looking for a new Studio Manager to join us in this key roll in our organisation


  • Security – keys/entry system supervision, sometimes opening/locking up

  • Reception duties in the absence of the Studio Receptionist

  • Co-ordination of the reception service, the cleaning service and work space within the building

  • Responsible for maintaining a comfortable, clean and tidy working environment and making improvements where practical and necessary

  • Responsible for Studio supplies, such as fruit, tea/coffee, kitchen supplies, cleaning products etc.

  • Arranging work/maintenance around the studio

  • Liaising with HR and IT to ensure new starters have desk space, login details and the technical requirements for their role

Senior Producer

This role will involve project managing a broad range of projects including films (live action and motion graphics), interactive and installations. Our clients include major national and international museums, institutions, brands and the built environment. This producer will be responsible for delivering large scale projects according to brief, timelines and budget working with a team of creative and technical minds.

Job Description


  • You work successfully alongside the Head of Production/Executive Producer, Creative Director and Technical Director to support their creative ownership and development of the project from beginning to end.

  • Team Management - Assess project briefs with Executive Producer, Technical and Creative Directors to establish best production route for the project to ensure workload is manageable within the time frame and budget. Organises internal creative and technical reviews throughout the project.
  • Resource management - Works with Head of Production to schedule in a team and ensures the team is clear on responsibilities, deliverables and timelines. Ensure each project is staffed according to schedule and budget
  • Financial - Responsible for monitoring project budget via a selection of online production tools. Reports to HOP and Financial Controller on project status.
  • Schedules - Provides and updates production schedule to team members and ensure teams are aware of deliverable dates and milestones – drafts and final.
  • Asset Collation - Collates information and assets from the various parties involved and distribute these to the relevant individuals on the team. In the case of a large projects they will work with a document controller.
  • Reporting - Keeps management informed of the project's progress and deliverables and highlighting any potential problems that may arise – e.g. over spends, shortfall of resource. Actively monitor productivity and quality of output daily
  • Technical Team -Works closely with the software producer on deliverables expected from content team.


  • Client Contact - Establish strong client relations and act as the central point of contact for designated projects.
  • Asset Collation - this includes collating and issuing client feedback. Works with the document controller to understand all assets that are being delivered and required.
  • Process - Manages entire production process from briefing and scoping to project delivery. This also includes setting up client review workshops from scripts and storyboards to delivery draft versions of the films. It is important the producer can also lead hardware testing sessions whereby content is loaded up onto exhibition hardware and reviewed. In case of any interactive content the content producer will work closely with the software producer to help test any interactive software. Throughout the process the producer will negotiate production variables, and advise of any issues, risks or problems. The producer will also be required to help organise some small scale film shoots.
  • Meetings - Attends all on site client meetings and workshops. Minutes - outlines and issues action points to entire team. Clearly communicates and disseminates information across internal and external teams.
  • Invoicing - Will follow up any outstanding invoices.
  • Schedule - Will develop a realistic delivery schedule with the client and keep the client abreast of schedule changes and implications of slippages.
  • Subcontractors - Organise and liaise with hardware and exhibition contractors and to obtain necessary information on time and to answers any queries that may arise.


  • Demonstrable experience (3-5 Years) within Project Management in a Creative Agency environment.


  • Strong with Project Management tools/software. Able to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
  • Familiar with Adobe InDesign is desirable but not essential.
  • Google Docs/Gmail.
