IET at Savoy Place

Experiential designs for IET’s new HQ

We worked closely with MET studios to create three experiential installations for the Institute of Engineering’s (IET) newly refurbished headquarters at Savoy Place in London.

Field of energy sculpture
Located at the entrance of the IET building, this elegant interactive sculpture presents the convergence of various engineering sectors the IET represents through a dynamic ‘field of energy’. The various facets are depicted as animated particles of energy that interconnect to become greater than the sum of their parts. As visitors move underneath, the elements subtly animate and come to life creating a dynamic and ever-changing image.

Member’s wall
Within the lobby of the members’ floor we created a live digital display which feeds up-to-the-minute information from the global world of IET including live tweets, past and future events, videos, famous engineering quotes, news releases and IET member numbers from across the world.

100 engineering ideas that changed the world
The ideas wall depicts the importance of engineering in our everyday lives through objects that have fundamentally changed the way we live. From inanimate objects to vehicles, huge scale engineering ideas and even microscopic technologies. The objects are displayed in front of a large-scale digital display.
