Virtual Twin

As we all become more sophisticated in our interactions with virtual spaces, through gaming, retail and live experiences, Squint/Opera has been developing a new tool to bring architectural design to virtual audiences for design, consultation and sales.

Reviewing media design, especially moving and interactive media, through traditional means (slidedecks, pdfs, video files) fails to provide the scale and context of the end user experience.

Our Virtual Twin platform, SpaceForm, allows us to fully immerse ourselves and our clients through VR or desktop into a 3D real-time environment where concepts and designs can be reviewed collaboratively within a simulated environment of the finished physical space. We initially created this software for our work on the Empire State Building experience where we were responsible for the delivery of 40 unique media pieces.

Grant funding from Epic Games and further investment from Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and UNStudio has allowed us to broaden the scope of our Virtual Twin platform to architects working at masterplan and city scale.
